Introducing... 'Miss Fire'

Burvills is fortunate to employ highly skilled craftsmen and women, each with their own individual areas of expertise that are required to produce such a varied product range.

Clare Robertson studied at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design University where she gained a BA (Hons) Degree in Three Dimensional Design: Metalwork and Jewellery.

Clare gained valuable experience after graduating university working at Forest Green Forge in Dorking Surrey.

"Having had a strong interest in arts and crafts from an early age,  I discovered blacksmithing during my metalwork degree. Its fascinating yet turbulent history and state of permanence inspired me to pursue this craft as a vehicle for my own creative ability."

Clare joined the Burvills team in March 2006. Her design and forging skills combined enable us to offer our clients a wider variety of "artistic" metalwork products.

Clare recently designed the entrance gates for "The Lightbox" in her home town of Woking.

www.thelightbox.org.uk is a new art gallery now complete and open to the public.

From design through to manufacture Clare also created a magnificent Peacock for the Squires show garden at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show. See a photo in the gallery!

Feel free to browse the "Miss Fire" gallery and why not commission us so that she can design something extraordinary!
